Frequently Asked Questions

Are your cabins actually in Gatlinburg?

Our cabins are in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, both of which border Gatlinburg. You’re 10–20 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, the national park entrance, and the Gatlinburg Trail. Staying just outside the city gives you more space for your dog and lower rates; without giving up access to Gatlinburg’s attractions.

Can I walk to Gatlinburg from the cabin?

The cabins are a short drive from Gatlinburg rather than walking distance; but with free parking at or near most Gatlinburg attractions, driving is easy. Several of our cabins are within 15 minutes of downtown.

Do the cabins near Gatlinburg have fenced yards?

Yes: Timeless Tranquility, Blissful Tranquility, and Hapey Memories all include a private fenced dog run or yard, Little Bear has a fenced deck, but is currently leash-only in the yard. This is rare for Gatlinburg-area rentals, where fenced space is limited by lot size and density.

Is the Gatlinburg Trail suitable for my dog?

The Gatlinburg Trail is one of the best options in the Smokies for dogs. It’s flat, 2 miles round trip, runs alongside the river, and allows leashed dogs. Start at the Gatlinburg city park trailhead. Bring water, especially in summer.

Are there pet fees for your Gatlinburg-area cabins?

No. All Hapey Cabin Rentals are pet-fee-free, regardless of the number of dogs, breed, or size. Most Gatlinburg-area cabin rentals charge $50–$150 in pet fees. We don’t.
